About La Sainte

La Sainte is owned by Kathryn Alcorn, a hairdressing veteran with over 20 years in the industry. Kathryn has worked in the industry in many capacities, including salon manager, owner and technical educator both in Australia and overseas. She has presented many hairdressing seminars and continues to be a driving force in the industry, with a solid commitment to training her staff to not only be great hairdressers, but inspiring them to be great communicators and leaders in their own right. Kathryn has a ‘hands on’ approach to her business, and attends the salons on a regular basis, working side by side with the team. Success is a team effort, and as a leader, Kathryn believes wholeheartedly in the concept that you should never expect anyone to do anything you are not prepared to do yourself. She founded the well known Brisbane salon, guggenheim for hair, nearly 10 years ago, and recently rebranded the guggenheim for hair Robina salon, with the name change to ‘La Sainte’, and a product change to Schwarzkopf..

Kathryn says " Business is about change… positive change. If we don’t grow and change, we stagnate! After many successful years with my previous supplier, it was time to move on to a professional supplier who believed in my expansion plans, supported my vision and encompassed my image. After having worked for many years with numerous professional products I truly believe that Schwarzkopf provides both the professional stylist and the discerning client with a product that is dependable, luxurious, affordable, innovative and exciting!"

Kathryn is also about to launch into the city again, with a new salon offering right in the heart of Brisbane city, at the fabulous new Q&A building on Elizabeth St, Brisbane CBD. La Sainte in the city will be an amazing salon, offering clients the highest level of service and expertise available anywhere in the country!

Why 'La Sainte'?

Kathryn says ‘ I have recently moved on from a business relationship, and decided, albeit a risky venture, to begin again, with a new name and a new brand. Hairdressing has always been my passion, and throughout my career, I believe my craft has saved my skin a few times! Also, from a client point of view, finding a great hairdresser is like having your own personal saint! (La Sainte is French for ‘ The Saint’) We can’t put a price on how amazing it is to look and feel great about ourselves, and our hair is a big part of that! Therefore, it was important for my new brand to impart something about me and also encapsulate something I can provide for our precious clients and staff.’
